St. Louis Spirits Gymnastics Club offers quite a few classes for boys that want to learn gymnastics, tumbling, be like the contestants on American Ninja Warrior (Ninja Zone) or take a Tricking/Urban Gymnastics Class.

 

Young Boys (ages 5 and younger)

Boys ages 5 and below have three choices.  They could either go into our Tumbling Tigers Program (which is our amazing pre-school gymnastics program), our Ninja Zone Program or take private lessons.

In our Tumbling Tigers program our athletes work on:

  • Bars (upper and lower body strength, vestibular coordination)
  • Beam (balance and coordination)
  • Floor (upper  body strength, coordination, vestibular coordination)
  • Trampoline (controlling a body in motion)

In our Ninja Zone program our athletes work on:

  • Gymnastics (coordination)
  • Martial Arts (discipline)
  • Obstacle Course Training (cardiovascular)
  • Street Dance (creativity)

Our Ninja Zone program is like participating within a video game.  During our obstacle course training our students are given a scenario they pretend to put themselves into.  From there they go through the course working to outmaneuver their “opponent”.

In our Private Lessons, athletes have the opportunity to work one on one with a coach.  The lesson is specifically tailored to the athlete’s goals.

 

Boys (Ages 5-11)

In our Tumbling Program our athletes work on:

  • Floor Tumbling (goal is to get skills on the floor without assistance from coaches or shapes)
  • Power Track Tumbling (used as an aid to train floor skills)
  • Trampoline (used as an aid to train floor skills)
  • Pit (used as an aid to train floor skills)

 

Young Men (Ages 12 and up)


Young Men ages 12 and up have three choices.  They could either go into our Tumbling Program, our Warrior Program or take private lessons.  See our Tumbling Program description above.

Our Warrior Program is based on the principles of Parkour.  The goal is to get from one point to another the most efficient way possible.  It has been explained as a type of freedom or a state of mind.  It is about overcoming and adapting to mental and emotional obstacles as well as physical barriors.

In our Warrior Program our athletes work on:

  • Obstacle Course Training (this can include running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, movements on all fours)
  • Strength and Conditioning (specifically to improve the Warrior’s ability to move through space)

In our Private Lessons, athletes have the opportunity to work one on one with a coach.  The lesson is specifically tailored to the athlete’s goals.
